Responsibilities—Responsible for UX/UI research and development of products that help medical systems, hospitals and practices manage their clinical quality and performance while improving physician engagement.
Results—Led a team of designers working across products to deliver new features and products while moving to an agile development process. Introduced Lean UX practices to engage UX and PM in a rapid iterative development style to deliver better-tested value-based products and features to the market sooner.
Creative Director/Lead Information Architect, e-MDs—05/2007 to 08/2011
Responsibilities—Responsible for UI/UX development of a web-based Electronic Medical Records application. Working directly with Subject Matter Experts (doctors, nurses and Practice Management Professionals) and Business Analyst to develop specification documents for thedevelopment team. As a member of the UX/UI team we produced artifacts such as workflow diagrams, feature maps, low fidelity wireframes, high fidelity screen renderings and PDF click-throughs. We used a compressed version of the unified process (Inception, elaboration, Construction, Transition) that allowed us to move quickly to UI interactions while still in the inception phase.
Results—Designed User Interface style. Developed UI/UX standards, symbols and templates, coded core HTML/CSS for web-based medical application.
